God's abundant blessings for all in 2014

Dear Jack and Mama Valery and all friends of KHK program in Cameroon,

Happy new year 2014.

May the blessings of God precede you in everything you will undertake in this new year. Here in Ngoundere we are doing fine and we hope you as well.

We celebrated our “Christmas” feast last December 21st and we had food distribution. All the parents of the children were invited but just a few came. I don’t know the reason of their absence on that day. There were seventy five children so as fifty seven from KHK and eighteen invitees from their friends of the KHK.

Things happened so fine and the Christmas feast was very nice with songs, dances, sketch (role play), poems and bible verses. In fact we set up a small choir group made of girls and boys of KHK program here. For the moment our uniform is white tee-shirt and black trousers (for boys) and skirts (for girls). Each meeting, we then have fifteen minutes for prayers and other stuffs. Last time the children proposed that we pray for you those helping them. It was exciting to listen to a small girl who prayed in French asking God to watch over the children and grandchildren of the helpers through KHK program in Cameroon.

I will mention that this year the protestant hospital (through the chaplaincy department and pastor Abdoulaye) brought Christmas gifts to KHK children. You can just imagine how happy they were this recent end of year 2013.

The food distribution occurred that day at my old office. In addition to food usually distributed, there were beignets, popcorn and candies. We took some photos by phone. Our fear now is wether we’ll succeed in sending them to you. There was no video.  We preconize to send some of those photos to you as possible as it will be.

One more time, thanks to all of you brothers and sisters, friends and neighbors in Christ who pray and support the beautiful and weak children of KHK in Cameroon. Other details of our work will be sent to you very soon.

Happy new year 2014 to all of you.

Stay blessed in Jesus.

KHK activities... September – October – November 2013

During the period of the three last months we had three main activities.    Firstly, we had our monthly meeting on 15th September, 6th October and 3rd November. We have already sent some reports and photos to pastor Jack and Valerie.

September 15th the Hospital Church
welcomed the KIDS to sing at their two services

According to the new list, we have 60 children. We have 13 new children this year because some don’t come again others who already passed 18th year old we replace them by those who really need help. Five kids out of 13 do not yet have their photo taken because they forget the dates of the meetings; the eight others have already taken their photos taken in the camera of Pastor Felix. We have already sent some sent some photos to pastor Jack and Valerie Frederick.

We are working on KHK with Pastor Felix but these times he is very busy since September part of his family is in Meiganga, and he has to take care of them, he co-ordinates the chaplain and social workers and these days he loosed his mother and sister in-law in Meiganga, so it is not easy for him to work with me every day on the program but he is informed about all the activities of the program.

The activity which most takes time is paying scholarship. First, we have to evaluate the school level and the school needs of every kid. Secondly, we evaluate the cost of books and scholarship. Thirdly, we buy and distribute the willing books of each kid need. Fourthly, we went to different schools and we paid the fees of those could not pay as in the bills attached last time.

About school, our statistics are that 12 children could not pay anything at all no books, no school fees and no school uniforms. 38 children have some books and a part of school fees. For these two categories of children we paid all of them their school fees some we paid part of their school fees and writing books, pens, pencils, erasers, rulers for all of them.

50 children need few writing books to complete what families paid.

Only 7 children have all their writing books totally bought by their families.

2 children were sent out of school because they did not have their school uniforms. We also bought the uniforms for them now they are going school normally.

Nevertheless there is still 7 people who said during the last meeting that they will be sent out of school soon if they do not have their school uniforms, so they are really in need.

We are very upset because there is no much money of school found of the program left to help them. There is now 13.000 FRS CFA. We would like to ask Pastor Jack and Valerie what to do with this petty cash. We hope that some parents will buy some things for some kids as we ask them during our visits.

We also want to inform Pastor Jack and Valerie that the camera is not still working up to know to take pictures we use the camera of Pastor Felix or for my husband to send them to you so we need another camera please.

For the health care from June to now we had 5 children who were ill and have been to the hospital. We paid medicines for all of them. All the bills are not yet available because the financial administration of the hospital wants to gather the entire bills together to send to the program so that we can pay (we please you to be sure that all the bills will be sent to you at the same time with the financial details of the health care of the children later when we will have all the bills).
Here are the others details of the KHK Program activities;

At every meeting we share the word of GOD, singing, pray and give lessons about daily life.
The topics of the lessons we teach are for example
                        To be polite
                        The obedience
                         Faith to GOD
                         The love of GOD
The work at school and at home
                         The success etc…

Last Sunday we had our monthly meeting, we prayed, sung songs, talked about how to pray, why sometimes GOD cannot answer to our prayers and the children gave their opinions and some advice were given to them about prayers. We also talk about how we can organize Christmas feast. So, all the children agreed that we can begin to celebrate Christmas from now.
We will meet every Sunday at 12 O’clock to organize our Christmas activities. But the only difficulty we will have is the absence of some of the children amongst the 60 children. We think that if we can have gifts, toys, sweets provided for them they will all be present without any absent.
We are very thankful to you for your LOVE for us , you pay more attention to these orphans and vulnerable children , all what we can say is that may GOD bless you and give you more strength in this assistance and these words are also for all the brothers and sisters in your SYNOD.
Thanks you again.    Stay with GOD peace.      Gaknone  Fanta

ACTIVITIES  REPORT

T

His month we had two meeting on Sunday 4th and 11th August  2013. In the first meeting we sung, prayed, we talked about obedience and been a good child in the family and in the society. There were three children who were ill. Intia Mohamdou, Yeremi Thomas and William Peguy.
I asked them to come to the hospital and take some drugs, we prayed for them and all the families and for you too. We took a rendezvous for the next Sunday 11 August there were 55 children, that day they were very happy as you saw in the pictures I sent to you recently and all came that day early than usual because there was distribution. We didn’t spent much time in the hospital, we just discussed about oneself family issues, asked those who were ill if they were doing now better but they didn’t came to the hospital to have drugs, at the end of the entertainment we prayed and everyone went straight to my old office where the foods were packed  by Touzinmia and Koulagna Bonaventure, the distribution had been done at the same place. Zebaze Thomas  still doing a little job somewhere in a little village about 60km from Ngaoundere.
After the distribution we decided to sing at the hospital congregations I & II, we planned to repeat the songs every day from 12 to 1pm as they as they are still on holiday. We wrote an application letter to the pastor of the two congregations. He replied to allowing us to sing on the 15th September from 8 O’clock to 12 O’clock. Every child must have a white uniform and black trouser with the help of the family members. The others already have their clothes that they can use to as uniform if it is white and black. Unfortunately there are many who don’t come to repeat. I will sensibilise them again on the next meet on  the 1st September. We have 7 new songs and 2 provided for the Evangelical Activity.

There were six children who were on holidays but we kept their foods until they come back ie ;
Justine Guichard, Briguitt, Gambere, Sezougou Pascal.
