My thoughts of Cameroon always take me to Robert Frost's poem

ACTIVITIES  REPORT

T

His month we had two meeting on Sunday 4th and 11th August  2013. In the first meeting we sung, prayed, we talked about obedience and been a good child in the family and in the society. There were three children who were ill. Intia Mohamdou, Yeremi Thomas and William Peguy.
I asked them to come to the hospital and take some drugs, we prayed for them and all the families and for you too. We took a rendezvous for the next Sunday 11 August there were 55 children, that day they were very happy as you saw in the pictures I sent to you recently and all came that day early than usual because there was distribution. We didn’t spent much time in the hospital, we just discussed about oneself family issues, asked those who were ill if they were doing now better but they didn’t came to the hospital to have drugs, at the end of the entertainment we prayed and everyone went straight to my old office where the foods were packed  by Touzinmia and Koulagna Bonaventure, the distribution had been done at the same place. Zebaze Thomas  still doing a little job somewhere in a little village about 60km from Ngaoundere.
After the distribution we decided to sing at the hospital congregations I & II, we planned to repeat the songs every day from 12 to 1pm as they as they are still on holiday. We wrote an application letter to the pastor of the two congregations. He replied to allowing us to sing on the 15th September from 8 O’clock to 12 O’clock. Every child must have a white uniform and black trouser with the help of the family members. The others already have their clothes that they can use to as uniform if it is white and black. Unfortunately there are many who don’t come to repeat. I will sensibilise them again on the next meet on  the 1st September. We have 7 new songs and 2 provided for the Evangelical Activity.

There were six children who were on holidays but we kept their foods until they come back ie ;
Justine Guichard, Briguitt, Gambere, Sezougou Pascal.

NEWS from Cameroon and the KIDS...

KHK PROGRAM - Activities report

Hello, dad Jack and Mom Valery; we are happy to give you some news from the Cameroon KHK Program. We hope that you are getting more and more better and that the pains from your reap side have gone. So how are all your other businesses going on there since you went back from Cameroon?
From the children’s side two of them were sick;We would like to inform you that we had our last meeting on the 2nd of June; as usual the meeting started at 12 o’clock; Pastor SAMAKI Samuel was present; we sang two former songs and Astrid my daughter taught a new song to the pupils.
One of them Peggy Jean Calvin was seriously sick and he was hospitalized for two weeks; we were afraid that he could die; the expenses were to high; but FANTA tried hard to convince his family to contribute a bite to the bill; We have got the promise and we are still waiting; nothing yet has come because the family is extremely poor. The second one was Jeremy Thomas; he had a very severe headache; but both are doing well now.
During our meeting, we gathered news of the members of the group concerning health, success in schools, family life etc; we prayed for some topics to show our concern, thanked God for all his goodness toward us. We talked about hygiene, healthy food and drinks, washing hands before and after eating, using soap or bleach if it is available.
Three new children have been admitted; there were:
- Fini Martin Kevin; he is seven years old; he is living in the Norvegien quarter;
- The second is Samgniguele Catherine who is 10 years old; she lives in the same place with the first one
- The third one is Fognahile Armand; he is 13 and the younger brother of Crepin who was replaced by him.
Unfortunately we were unable take their pictures with our own camera on that day it was not working till now; may be the batteries are not in the good state; we hope that we will do it next time when the problem is solved; but we made use of Rev ABDOULAYE Jean’s camera what is bellow there. So can you permit us to take it for a check and to eventually repair it?
On that day food was also distributed food to fifty of them who were present; this was done as you can see there in the container; six were absent and four places were found empty.

We have planned to make home visit before admitting who ever among them in the list; for the time being we are having fifty six children registered in the list. It seems that Miranda will no more be part of ours according to the news that we have got after your departure.
About the school program we do not yet have any news to tell for the time being; we are still collecting the report cards; you will be better informed about the success and the failures by the time going on.
Here by we tried to give you the news about KHK; please let us know if there is something else you want to know about.

Here we are on distribution day...

A part from that we took part ho this so called ‘’journee de l’enfant africain’’ a day dedicated the African child; it was held on the 16th of June; we prepare it one week before that day.
All of ours gathered at midday; we sang, one of them prayed and we presented two role plays; one was about stealing and lending money without paying it back; the other was about treacheries, corruption during exams and on trusting God.
Brigitte said a tall in her maternal tong; Astrid sang alone; some gifts made of tooth pat, pencils, pens,  crosses bracelets, were given to them; but each of them chose what she or he was interested in. The next rendezvous was set on the 7th of July. Everyone went home happy.

  Warm greetings to you from all our children and may the peace of God be with you.
